Oreopsittacus

The Oreopsittacus is monotypic and only includes the Plum-faced Lorikeet, a small green parrot about 15 cm in size. Its native breeding habitat is the New Guinea Highlands at altitudes between 2000 and 3750 m.  It ranges both the Indonesia and Papua New Guinea regions of the island.
