Most of the images and descriptions on this site is free to use for non-commercial use. However, a few photos are copyright by the original creator and may not be copied or shared! For this reason please read the following carefully before you copy and distribute any material from this site.

My own work

All descriptions and images tagged with “© Lars Bodin” are my own work and is covered by a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) license. You may copy and use my own work for non-commercial use as long as you comply with the terms described in the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license; a short overview of these terms is listed below.

You are free to:

  • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material

Creative Commons license

Images tagged with a Creative Commons (CC) license (either right below the photo or in the Photo Credits section at the bottom of the page)  may be freely shared as long as you comply with the terms in the CC license. There are several variations so make sure you understand and comply with the specific license.

In general you must always attribute the original creator of the image and also link to the CC license. 

A quick overview of some of the CC licenses used on this site:

  • CC BY 2.0 – free to share and modify
  • CC BY-SA 2.0 – free to share and modify; your contributions must be distributed using the same license.
  • CC BY-NC 2.0 – free to share for non-commercial use.
  • CC BY-NC-ND 2.0 – free to share for non-commercial use but may not be modified. 

Public Domain

A few images are from old drawings or illustrations, that are now free to copy and use – these images are tagged with Public Domain in the Photo Credits section.

Images tagged as Public Domain (either right below the photo or in the Photo Credits section at the bottom of the page) can be freely copied and used without asking for permission. 

Photos tagged with “© Lars Bodin” may be used for non-commercial use as long as you comply with the terms of the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Copyright

Photos tagged with “copyright” and/or the “©symbol may NOT be copied or distributed! The only exception are photos tagged with “© Lars Bodin“; these are my own work and are covered by a CC-BY-NC-SA 4.0 license as mentioned above.

An example of an image with copyright is displayed in the image to the right. Notice the copyright symbol and the photographers name is tagged on the image. 

I have been granted permission by the original creator to use their work on this site – likewise you must contact the owner of the copyright and ask for permission if you want to use any of their work.
