The Charmosynopsis genus includes two Lorikeets: Fairy Lorikeet and Blue-fronted Lorikeet. They were previously included in the Charmosyna genus but was moved to the Charmosynopsis genus in 2021 with the IOC 11.2 update.

The Fairy Lorikeet is endemic to New Guinea; the Blue-fronted Lorikeet is endemic to southern Moluccas.
