Neopsephotus

The monotypic genus Neopsephotus includes the Bourke’s Parrot, which is a small parrot native to the interior regions of southern and western Australia. They are about 18-23 cm long with the tail taking up about half the length.

Bourke’s Parrot was previously placed in the genus Neophema but is now classified as the only species in the genus Neopsephotus.
