Ognorhynchus
The monotypic Ognorhynchus genus include a single Neotropical parrot species: Yellow-eared Parrot.
Its habitat include regions in Columbia and Ecuador.
According to [IUCN] it is Endangered due to an extremely small known population of mature individuals. However intensive conservation actions seem to have stabilised the current population and resulted in a population increase.
In aviculture they are also known as Conures - a term that includes several genera.
